Neon City Ninja is a fast-paced 2D endless side scroller that puts you in the shoes of a ninja on a mission. With a unique vaporwave-inspired art style and cartoonish looks, you'll jump over rooftops, fight enemies . You can defend yourself by throwing knives and dashing forward to deliver swift strikes with your Katana.

As you progress through the game, you'll need to collect coins to buy upgrades and consumables to aid you in your journey. Whether you're looking to increase your health or sharpen your weapons, there's always something new to discover.

Neon City Ninja was created as part of a university game jam project, using the Raylib engine to teach the basics of video game programming. With its addictive gameplay and vibrant visuals, it's the perfect game to immerse yourself in for hours on end. So gear up and get ready to take on the neon-infused world of Neon City Ninja!

How to Play:

1. Movement: Use the left joystick or arrow (or W/D) keys to move the player. Your objective is to jump from roof to roof, but be careful not to fall!
2. Defending Against Enemies: To defend against enemies, use the right bumper or space bar to throw your knives. Alternatively, you can use your Katana by dashing forward and striking them with the left bumper or TAB key. Keep in mind that your uses for the Katana are limited.
3. Upgrading Stats and Buying Items: To upgrade your stats or buy items, press the X button on the controller or the E key on the keyboard.
4. Using Items: You can pick up and buy items such as Sushi and Jetpack. To use an item, press the A button on the controller or the Q key on the keyboard.

   Sushi: Use the dash as often as you want for 10 seconds.
   Jetpack: Fly for a short time using the A button on the controller or the Q key on the keyboard. Remember to watch your fuel!
